Alex Tank Interview - At the Hemel Snow Centre

01:23PM Thu, 29th November 2012

German jib-wizard Alex Tank flew over to the UK for the Hemel Hempstead stop of our November Knockout Tour last week. As well as shredding the epic setup and having a weekend of it in London, he wanted to pick one lucky British ripper to win a wild card entry to the Head Jib Factory, an event he founded over in Germany. In the end, Alex was so impressed by the riding talent on display that he couldn’t pick just one overall winner – he had to flip a coin to decide between Will Smith and Andy Nudds. Nuddsy was lucky enough to call heads and win.

Earlier in the evening, in between laps, we sat down with him to talk about contests, his career and the Jib Factory 2013.

Tristan Kennedy

Tristan first stepped on a snowboard at the age of 12, and (despite being a bit rubbish) has made a point of riding as often as possible since. He joined Whitelines in 2009, and writes, shoots, films and edits for both the magazine and the website. Having headed up the team in charge of the Whitelines Buyers' Guide for the past four seasons knows more about the geeky side of snowboard kit than anyone should ever have to know.
