Burton High5 Tour touches down in Braehead

06:52PM Thu, 29th September 2011

Last year’s Burton High5 Highlights from Braehead

After a successful first leg last week in Tamworth, where they joined forces with TSA’s Big Bang Snowboard Show, the Burton UK crew are moving their flagship competition onwards and upwards to Scotland. As with last year’s tour, they’ll be special Burton-branded obstacles, and a whole bunch of the sickest prizes the Big B can conjure up, so the evening’s bound to attract Scotland’s finest.

As well as watching the best that the boys North of the border can produce, if you turn up in the afternoon, you can also test out nearly all of next season’s kit – thanks to the TSA Big Bang Show that’ll take place before the comp starts. Not only that, but TSA have promised some pretty special guests for the evening – German jib maestros Alex Tank and Tom Klocker will both be present and correct, and no doubt showing some of the skills that got them both parts with Isenseven this year.

But even more exciting, they’ve lined up the creme-de-la-creme of UK women’s snowboarding for the event. Yep, that’s right, the lovely Jenny Jones and Aimee Fuller will both be putting in appearances! So that’s two European stars, a Roxy international team member and a three-times X Games Gold Medallist, all in one dome at one time! How’s that for a Saturday night down the dome? Check out snozone.co.uk for full details, or have a gander at the TSA website here, or the Burton High 5 Braehead Facebook page here.

Having headed up the team in charge of the Whitelines Buyers' Guide for the past four seasons knows more about the geeky side of snowboard kit than anyone should ever have to know.
