Dakine signs new talent to its team

11:55AM Tue, 8th December 2009

Dakine, the gloves and backpack makers, have recently signed a couple of big name American shredders to their international team, as well as an up and coming Canadian. From now on, Eric Jackson, Shayne Pospisil and Jed Anderson will all be rocking the brand’s kit.

Eric, the brother of Forum’s John, is probably the biggest of these big guns, having thrown down one of the sickest parts in Standard Films’ Black Winter this season. Shayne Pospisil won the massive Red Bull Skyscrapers event which took place in New York last winter, while Canadian Jed Amderson has featured in Transworld Snowboarding’s latest film, and is currently in the running for Rookie of the Year.

Dakine is stoked to have the boys on board, and if you have a look at these videos of Eric and Shayne riding, it’s easy to see why!

Tristan Kennedy

Tristan first stepped on a snowboard at the age of 12, and (despite being a bit rubbish) has made a point of riding as often as possible since. He joined Whitelines in 2009, and writes, shoots, films and edits for both the magazine and the website. Having headed up the team in charge of the Whitelines Buyers' Guide for the past four seasons knows more about the geeky side of snowboard kit than anyone should ever have to know.
