Kalle Ohlson joins Artec

Artec snowboards are growing rapidly – with a lot of support on the UK side of things from TSA. Their creative director Blaise Rosenthal (who once upon a time starred in the Mack Dawg movies) today announced a new signing to their international team in the shape of Swedish ripper Kalle Ohlson – formerly of Bataleon.

Interestingly, Rosenthal cites the fact Kalle is “more interested in parts than podiums” as a plus point. These days, with videos two-a-penny and brands like Burton increasingly promoting their contest riders, that’s a rare attitude. Whether it’ll gain them the coverage they’d like remains to be seen, though Kalle’s part in the forthcoming Pirates movie (alongside the UK’s Tyler Chorlton) will no doubt be a belter.
