Shaun White arrested: 'badass' charged with vandalism and public intoxication

Oh dear. He may be a two time Olympic Gold Medallist and one of the most recognisable extreme sports athletes on the planet but Shaun White’s gone and got himself arrested. That golden halo of his is wavering, at least for now anyway.

Officers responded to a call from a Nashville hotel at 2 a.m. on Sunday reporting a drunk and disorderly Shaun White who had trashed his room and pulled a hotel fire alarm, forcing the hotel to evacuate all its guests. Was he just being a bit of a joker? Or maybe he accidentally set his leopard skin pants on fire? Who knows.

White also apparently destroyed a hotel phone before trying to make a speedy getaway in a cab. When a citizen halted the taxi driver, White allegedly kicked said citizen before fleeing, being chased by the guy until White turned to face him, causing him to fall backwards and hit his head on a fence. White was then taken to hospital for treatment. White was given the opportunity to sign misdemeanour citations but refused, which led to the issue of arrest warrants charging him with vandalism and public intoxication. Rumour has it that for his next stunt Shaun will be scaling Big Ben in protest of discrimination against gingers.
