For this week’s snowboarding desktop wallpaper, we thought we’d celebrate the lengthening days and the dawn of a new year with this shot of Marco Smolla. It was taken at Ruka in Finland during the winter solstice, when the resort has the dubious honour of enjoying the shortest day of the year anywhere. Here’s to 2011!
