BEO Slopestyle Highlights - Jamie Nicholls' runs

12:51PM Wed, 20th January 2010

Jamie Nicholls took a big step up onto the international stage at last week’s Burton European Open – not only did the 16-year-old reach the finals, beating the likes of Marko Grilc and Risto Mattila to get there, but he rode with a confidence and maturity that belied his position as the youngest rider left in the contest.

If you didn’t get a chance to watch the livecast at the time, you should really check out his runs here. These two are taken from teh semi-finals, but his runs in the finals were pretty much the same – slick, stylish and clean as hell. Based on this evidence it will surely not be long before we see Jamie making the podium at events like this.

Tristan first stepped on a snowboard at the age of 12, and (despite being a bit rubbish) has made a point of riding as often as possible since. He joined Whitelines in 2009, and writes, shoots, films and edits for both the magazine and the website. Having headed up the team in charge of the Whitelines Buyers' Guide for the past four seasons knows more about the geeky side of snowboard kit than anyone should ever have to know.
