Burton European Open 2012 - Aimee Fuller's runs

02:53PM Wed, 29th February 2012

Aimee Fuller, the great British hope for the Burton European Open 2012, unfortunately hasn’t made it through to the finals of the women’s slopestyle. She was really unlucky in the semi-finals – she fell on her first run going massive on a backside rodeo, leaving her with only one run to put down a score.

She played it (relatively) safe with her second, and stomped it clean, landing herself in 7th place. As Henry Jackson’s excited voiceover on the Red Bull TV live stream commentary suggests that would have seen her qualify through. Unfortunately for Aimee (and the UK) both Silje Norendaal and Sina Candrian dropped in after her and landed sick runs, pushing Aimee out of the qualification spots. Still, it’s pretty rad seeing a Brit up there with the best. And call us biased, but for our money that back rodeo stale is still one of the best tricks on the women’s slopestyle circuit. Nice going Aimee!
