Here’s episode one of twenty in a new series of Flipside – a behind the scenes look at the filming of the legendary Absinthe movies – in this case the upcoming Resonance. Flipside has been a hugely popular addition to the Absinthe films and over the years we’ve given away several DVD’s of the series with the mag.
Any of you fortunate enough to get out to Europe this past season will know what a truly epic one it was for snowfall. After a slow start it proceeded to dump in December and didn’t really let up until well into the new year. Episode one sees Wolle Nylvelt and Absinthe directors/filmers Brusti and Justin Hostynek head to Nicholas Müller’s pad in Laax to shred some ‘nipple deep pow’ and log some shots for Nico’s X-Games Real Snow part. The resulting riding is predictably incredible – when Nicolas Müller says the conditions are good enough to just ‘send it everywhere’, you know that’s exactly what he’ll do – even more so with it being his backyard. If episode one is anything to go by, and knowing how good last season was in Europe, this web series and the resulting movie are going to be awesome. Still no sign of a Resonance trailer though!
New episodes of Flipside will be dropping every other week.
