Flow Tailgate Alaska 2012 - "a good scene"

Flow sponsor this years Tailgate Alaska and, once again, the event was a roaring success. This was the fifth year the event has run and with the emphasis still on back country safety it hasn’t lost sight of its roots and remains a “good scene”. “Good”?! Were thinking more AWESOME Mr Lago!

It took place from the 1st-12th of April and was open to the public, although places are limited to 500, all of whom are expected to have basic knowledge and training in the backcountry. Some stay in nearby hotels whilst the Jeremy Jones wannabes stay in tents at the camp centre. The event is also home to the Flow World Freeride Championships Final which, in the words of 2010 Winner, Travis Rice “is real f*#king snowboarding”
