It’s videos like these that really helped to build the enormous online presence that the Helgason brothers have. A simple setup, a touch of humour, some brotherly competition and a bunch of tidy snowboarding – it really is a winning formula. Now unless you live way up north, it’s pretty rare to get snow in the UK – enough to snowboard on anyway (and it’s always amusing how the transport system melts down if it so much as sleets…) but games like M.E.A.T. go down at dryslopes, indoor slopes and skateparks every day and many of us will have played them to varying degrees of success with our mates. They’re just easy for kids to relate to, and when you throw in the personalities and skill of these two, it’s not difficult to see why they’ve been such an internet success story. They’re not quite Bieber status just yet, but who’d want to be anything like that little ass-wipe anyway…
