Jamie Nicholls & Rowan Coultas raggin' it in Laax

11:34AM Tue, 27th March 2012

Last week’s British Snowboard Championships gave Brits a chance to spend a whole week shralping the seriously spectacular parks in Laax, Switzerland. For anyone who’s never been there, it’s worth it – as well as their world-class slopestyle course and halfpipe, they have this sick line of rails that continues down the length of an entire run, with a handy high-speed chairlift over the top so you can lap it easily. Here, Jamie Nicholls and one of Britain’s finest up and coming young shreds Rowan Coultas, put it through its paces. Jamie is predictably sick right from the opening cab underflip, but Rowan’s riding is also a revelation – how rad is his style on those opening two tricks, the front board and the back lip? Boom!

Tristan first stepped on a snowboard at the age of 12, and (despite being a bit rubbish) has made a point of riding as often as possible since. He joined Whitelines in 2009, and writes, shoots, films and edits for both the magazine and the website. Having headed up the team in charge of the Whitelines Buyers' Guide for the past four seasons knows more about the geeky side of snowboard kit than anyone should ever have to know.
