Nicolas Müller launches new signature Nike boot with weird advert

You don’t really need to know much more than that headline really. Swiss soul surfer Nicolas Müller is following in the footsteps of his Nike Snowboarding team-mates Gigi Rüf and Danny Kass with the launch of a new boot, dubbed the ‘Quickstrike’. And like the surreal videos that accompanied Gigi and Danny’s models, this one is downright weird, blending chickens with pipe-side apes in a dream sequence that seems partly inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey. Yeah, like I say, weird! Still, it’s always nice to watch Nico ride, he really does have a style like no one else – keep an eye out for our interview with him in WL101, dropping in a week or two. Oh and if you’re interested in getting your hands on the new boots then apparently there are only 1000 worldwide, of which a few will be landing in Oxford’s SS20.
