Red Gerard: yet another freakishly talented super-grom

Here’s one to make you all feel just that little bit older – exactly what you want on a Friday afternoon right?

Red Gerard (no relation to Stevie) is yet another super-grom lined up on Burton’s ever-revolving conveyor belt of talent. The kid was born in the year 2000 (ffs!) and already has a bag of tricks that could make a grown man weep: 270 ons, boardslides through double kink rails, backflips off rails… You name it, this kid can probably do it – or will at least chuck his tiny, seemingly indestructible frame at it anyway.

Kyle Mack was perhaps of a comparable standard when he was Red’s age and after stomping a triple cork at the O’Neill Evolution and currently sitting in 2nd place in the World snowboard Tour overall rankings is quickly becoming one of the sport’s brightest new talents. We can only guess that if he keeps it up, Red will be hitting equally impressive heights once he emerges on the other side of puberty.

He may be sick at snowboarding but we’d still take him in a fight any day of the week. Yeah.
